1 Getting Started
How do I create a buzz?
Tap the + button on the map, choose your buzz type (Event, Promo, or Information), add your details and photos, then post. Your buzz will appear on the map for others to discover.
How does the map work?
The map shows buzzes and businesses near your current location. Pan and zoom to explore different areas. Tap any marker to see details, vote, or start a conversation.
What are the different buzz types?
Events are time-based activities with start and end dates. Promos are deals and offers from businesses. Information is general news and announcements about your area.
2 Account & Privacy
How do I delete my account?
Go to your Profile and tap "Delete Account", or email us at team@haive.app. See the full details in the Delete Your Account section below.
Is my location shared publicly?
Your precise location is never shared publicly. Buzzes show approximate areas only. You can control your location visibility in Settings > Privacy. Business profiles have location visibility enabled by default.
Can I post anonymously?
Yes! Individual users can enable anonymous posting for their buzzes. Your username won't be shown, but note that we still retain the information internally for safety and moderation purposes.
3 For Businesses
How do I claim my business?
Search for your business on the map, tap on it, and select "Claim this business." You'll need to verify your ownership through our verification process. Once verified, you can manage your profile and post promotions.
How can I promote my business?
After claiming your business, you can create Promo and Event buzzes to reach nearby customers. These appear on the map for users in your area to discover.
4 Technical Issues
The app isn't loading data
Check your internet connection and try pulling down to refresh. Make sure location services are enabled for Haive. If issues persist, try closing and reopening the app, or contact us at support@haive.app.
I'm not receiving notifications
Go to your device Settings > Haive and ensure notifications are enabled. Also check in-app settings under Settings > Notifications to make sure your preferences are set correctly.
How do I report inappropriate content?
Tap on any buzz or profile, then tap the three-dot menu and select "Report." Choose the reason for your report and submit. Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours.
Delete Your Account
You can request the deletion of your Haive account and all associated data at any time. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Your profile information, photos, buzzes, and messages will be permanently deleted
Your followers, social connections, and wallet history will be erased
From the app
Open Haive, go to your Profile, scroll down and tap "Delete Account". Confirm your choice in the dialog. Your account will be deleted immediately.
By email
If you no longer have access to the app, send an email with the subject line "Delete My Account". Please include the email address associated with your Haive account.
